On Saturday, June 22, 2013, Generation Connect hosted the 2nd annual Not Your Momma’s Crab Feast! Nearly 100 participants came out and enjoyed all-you-can-eat crabs and other delicious offerings from Ceresville Mansion.  The outside pavilion at Ceresville Mansion was a perfect setting for anyone planning a picnic-style event.  “Kate Moreland and her staff were great hosts and GenConnect is enjoying our continued partnership with the facility,” said Jason Stanczyk, co-chair of Generation Connect.

Through networking, the GenConnect steering committee secured two amazing local recording artists to entertain their guests, Jenny Leigh and Paul Pfau. Urbana native Jenny Leigh is a country artist whose music reflects her city lifestyle and country girl background.  Jenny and her band did a great job opening the crab feast and entertaining the crowd.  Middletown High graduate Paul Pfau took a break from his tour schedule to play the crab feast.  Paul’s music is a unique blend of British Blues & New Orleans Funk. For the feast, Paul played his own songs and covered others acoustically.

Overall the event was a great success and all proceeds from this year’s Generation Connect schedule will benefit this year’s selected charity, Hospice of Frederick County.
