Frederick Factoids

Did you know? D. John Markey was our Chamber’s first president. Just like Ric Adams, our current President & CEO, Mr. Markey was born and raised in Frederick County and attended Frederick High School. He was a merchant who sold hats and shoes in Frederick, and unlike our current president, he has his own Wikipedia page.

You can learn more about our Chamber’s history online.
